Splitting a tractor

This week e got to split the tractor. It is a 1948 Farmall and it needed its clutch adjusted.  It was fairly strait forward I removed the hood, fuel tank, disconnected the steering, and the battery cable that goes to the starter.  I then disconnected the two halves and adjusted the clutch.  I also worked on a ford 6 liter that had drivablilty issues that led to a clogged sensor in the EGR.

  1. That is a pretty good variety of stuff.

    What did you learn?

  2. I learned that it is extremely important to keep the two halves of the tractor at the exact same heights once they are apart otherwise they are a pain to get back together.
